Mrs. Wanda L. Rowland, age 70, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Community Hospice McGraw Center for Caring after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 7, 1950, in Jacksonville to Alletta H. (Tyner) and John J. Hart, Sr., and was a lifelong resident.
Some people on this Earth get to experience many riches and luxuries. Her treasures were her husband, children, grandchildren, and the love of her family; her greatest joy that money couldn't buy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joseph, Charles, John, and Darrell; and sisters, Mary and Betty.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 52 years, Harrell F. Rowland of Jacksonville; sons, Danny Rowland (Terri) of Jacksonville and Tommy Rowland of Jacksonville; daughters, Cindy Rowland-Lamb of Jacksonville and Christy Rowland of Jacksonville; brother, James Robert Hart of Macclenny; grandchildren, Kimberly Lamb, Lil David Lamb, Sarah Williams, Amy Lamb, Chyanne Rowland, Renee Mounteer, Daisey Rowland, and Lil Tommy Rowland; great-grandchildren, Destiny Reddel, Burt Sheppard Jr, and Emily Sheppard; along with nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00-2:30 p.m. prior to service time.
