Shane Christopher Johnson, age 26, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, while working in Summerville, South Carolina. He was born on October 19, 1994, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Christopher James and Katina Louise (Cochran) Johnson.
Growing up, Shane loved playing sports. He played Little League Football and was on the Baker County High School Football Team. Shane graduated from Union County High School in 2013. He was outgoing and worked hard as an Electrical Apprentice. Shane loved being outdoors fishing, kayaking, hunting, and playing paintball, but he also enjoyed playing video games, drawing, and sketching. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend whose memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Shane was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lonnie Johnson. He is survived by his parents, Chris and Tina Johnson of Macclenny; brother, Ethan Johnson of Macclenny; sisters, Ashlynn Johnson and Courtney Johnson, both of Macclenny; paternal grandmother, Wannice Johnson of Jacksonville; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Pamler “Pam” Harding of Tennessee; along with aunts, uncles, numerous other family members, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bryan Richardson officiating. Interment in South Prong Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
