Mr. Robert Alan Dyer, age 61, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 27, 2021, in Jacksonville while flying his Aero Lite 103. He was born in Tucson, Arizona, on September 20, 1959, to Robert Adam and Evelyn Lucille (Pressley) Dyer. Robert had called Baker County his home for most of his life. He would attend church at Christian Fellowship Temple with his wife, Minerva. Robert enjoyed being a sky diving instructor, flying, and gardening, but his true passion was fishing. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who loved spending time with his family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim Dyer and John Dyer; and stepson, Christopher Smith. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Minerva B. Dyer of Macclenny; son, Anthony “Tony” Dyer of Macclenny; stepchildren, Edward Smith (Kimberly) and Christen Ricardon (Mike), both of Jacksonville; brother, Steve Dyer of North Carolina; sister, Kathy Ferguson of North Carolina; grandchildren, Cali, Caleb, Ethan, Ian, and Karma; along with numerous other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Holladay Aviation located at Craig Airport, 976 Charles Lindbergh Drive, Suite 3-G, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
