Richard "Rich" Lee Maxwell Jr., age 60, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 25, 2024, in Jacksonville. He was born in Jacksonville on February 6, 1964, to Lottie (Miller) and Richard L. Maxwell Sr. Richard moved to Baker County in 1999.
He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed watching football, NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt Sr. was his absolute favorite), and tinkering around his home. He was a Jack of all trades.
Richard's greatest joy was his family. His passing leaves a lingering sorrow in their hearts that could never be filled.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Tressie Saltford Maxwell of Macclenny; son, Richard Lee "Ricky" Maxwell III of Macclenny; daughter, Deanna R. Maxwell of Macclenny; brothers, Donald "Donnie" Maxwell of Macclenny and Gerald "Jerry" Maxwell of Jacksonville; stepsister, Ann Brown (Robert) of Jacksonville; father-in-law, John Saltford (Carol) of Jacksonville; mother-in-law, Joan Cornell (Gene) of Lake City; brother-in-law, Jason Saltford (April) of Jacksonville; sister-in-law, Genna Nettles (Joel) of Lake City; and niece, Dakota Saltford of Jacksonville.
