Ralph Bryan Mackey, age 63, of Sanderson, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital in Macclenny. He was born on May 5, 1958, in Tripoli, Libya, to Alan Clark and Lilly (Azria) Mackey. Ralph was Jewish by faith and had attended Beth Sholom Synagogue while living in Jacksonville. He moved to Baker County in 1996 and had worked as a brick mason for over 30 years.
Ralph adored his family. He was an avid Hot Wheels collector and loved shopping on eBay. He also had an impressive vinyl collection he was very proud of.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Joe Coveney. Survivors include his beloved wife of 35 years, Billie Jo Morrison-Mackey of Sanderson; children, Brian Mackey (Sandy) of El Paso, Texas, Resa Woodruff (Derek) of Indiana, William Morrison of Michigan, Allen Mackey of Indiana, and Lisa Hilliard of Macclenny; brother, Frank Mackey of Jacksonville; sisters, Denise Cherne (Rich) of Melbourne and Carole “Babe” Coveney of Columbia, South Carolina; nine grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Macedonia Cemetery.
