Mr. Nelson McCoy Mock, age 66, of Macclenny, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 15, 2019. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on June 3, 1953, to Mary Ann (McCoy) and Lawrence Edward Mock. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Emory University. Mr. Mock and his wife, Beth, were longtime residents of Macclenny and members of First United Methodist Church of Macclenny. Nelson’s greatest joy was his family.
Nelson was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife of 33 years, Beth Louise Mock, with whom he is now reunited. He is survived by his daughter, Faith Fuller of Macclenny; brother, Lawrence Mock (Darden) of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Martha Mock Ryan of Naples, Florida and Ann Mock Short (Donald) of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Elora Louise; mother-in-law, Jane Sundblad of Hernando, Florida; extended family, Joseph Dorwart, III (Joan) of Ladsen, South Carolina, Jeffrey Dorwart (Aridia) of Quaker Hill, Connecticut, Brenda Small (Stephen) of Norwich, Connecticut, Belita Oehl (Georg) of Brandon, Florida, and Blythe Luetkehoelter (Olaf) of Cary, North Carolina; as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A Celebration of Nelson’s Life will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 18, 2019, at First United Methodist Church of Macclenny with Reverend Bryan Simpson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Nelson's name to First United Methodist Church, 93 N. 5th St. Macclenny, FL 32063.
