Melodie Lee Fries Dawson

Mrs. Melodie Lee Fries Dawson, age 61, of Baldwin, Florida, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born on June 27, 1960, in Maple Shade, New Jersey, to Robert and Thelma (Clark) Fries.
Mrs. Dawson had recently moved with her husband to Baldwin from Cocoa, Florida, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Melodie was a faithful Christian. She spent her life serving Jesus and others. Melodie was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies were crafting and selling jewelry. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Melodie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Ernest Dawson; cherished son, Grant Dawson (Casey); and beloved grandchildren, Robert and Amelia Dawson.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Minister Grant Dawson and Dr. Dewayne Jowers officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
