Mark Lee Norman, age 88, of Maxville, Florida, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born in Lawtey to John Charles and Zulene (Prevatt) Norman. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sharing time with his family. Mark was a member of the Teamsters Local 512 and spent 39 years driving for Ryder/P.I.E. Nationwide Inc. trucking company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Charles Jr. and Robert Norman; sisters, Elsie Clinton, and Evelyn Wright; daughter, Judy Bitz; son, Riley Davis; and granddaughter, Jacklyn Rewis.
Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Juanita Norman of Maxville; children, Bruce “Eddie” Norman (Cindy), Rodney Norman (Pat), Markie Norman (Susan), David Rewis (Peggy), Carla Davis, Cathy Bennett (David), Harvey Rewis, Patty Key (Kenny), David Harris (Robbin), Nancy Harris (Darnell “Buddy”), and Robin Long (Mark); brothers, Terry P. Norman (Barbara) and Ike Nolan (Jeanne); sister, Jeanette West; 26 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Christian Fellowship Temple with Pastors David Thomas, Timmy Thomas, and Rodney Norman officiating. Interment will follow in Long Branch Cemetery in Maxville. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
