Margaret B. Cagle, age 80, of Jacksonville, Florida, went home to be with The Lord on November 28, 2021. She was born in Bay Minette, Alabama, on March 7, 1941, to Charles and Alberta Broughton. Mrs. Cagle was a longtime Jacksonville resident and was a member of West Shores Baptist Church. She was a retired school teacher involved in Christian Education for 30 years. She taught at Trinity Christian Academy and Heritage Christian Academy. Mrs. Cagle also taught Children’s Church at both Trinity Baptist Church and West Shores Baptist Church for many years. She loved writing poetry and stories and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, James Malcolm Cagle; her granddaughter, Rebekah Whitter; and most recently, her son, David M. Cagle. Survivors include her daughter, Darlene M. Bullard (Rick); daughter-in-law, Judy Cagle; 6 grandchildren: Sarah, Adam, Ricky, Victoria, Lillie, and James; 14 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at West Shores Baptist Church, 9420 Old Plank Road in Jacksonville with Pastor Don Kunnmann officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
There will be a second church service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Gulf Coast Baptist Church, 1499 Chemstrand Road, Cantonment, FL with interment to follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens in Pensacola, FL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to West Shores Baptist Church, 9420 Old Plank Road, Jacksonville, FL 32220.
