Mrs. Lillie Mae Shingle, age 72, of Jacksonville, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. She was born in Santee, South Carolina, lived in Newark, New Jersey, and has lived in Jacksonville for the past 25 years. Mrs. Shingle was a member at The Church at Sun Coast in Jacksonville. Although she previously worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, her passion was running her Day Care; NaNah’s House of Angels. She loved all of her kids, many of which she raised, and touched an untold number of lives.
Mrs. Mae was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband, Willie Lee Shingle.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Earnestine Fogle; sons, Tyler and Robert T. Kitt; daughter, Nicole Lyons (Craig); seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry Fogle, Randolph Fogle, Ulysses Fogle (Sharon), and Melvin Fogle; sisters, Ernestine Keitt and Brenda Fogle; along with many other family members and friends.
Homegoing Celebration Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at The Church at Sun Coast, 4200 Georgetown Drive, Jacksonville, Florida with Pastor Mike Gaylor and Elder Ulysses Fogle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Per her request, Mae will be cremated.
