Lena Bell Richmond

Lena Bell Richmond, age 89, of Summers County, West Virginia went home to her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 8, 2019, with her family by her side at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born May 24, 1930, in Jumping Branch, WV and was the daughter of the late Sherman and Sarah Francis Richmond and the devoted wife and widow of John R. Richmond who preceded her in death in 2004. 
She lived in Summers County, WV all her life until illness made it necessary to move to Florida to be with her daughter and son in law. Lena was a homemaker and caregiver to her husband, her mother, and her step-father. If anyone left her home hungry, it was their own fault.
She was a member of the Elk Knob Baptist Church and loved to attend services as long as her health permitted. 
Lena is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Cales and husband, Gary of Glen Saint Mary, FL; three grandsons and their wives and children, Scott and wife Sheila, Seth and wife Tricia, Tony and wife Christine; five great-granddaughters, Cheyenne of Lake City, FL, Skyler, Lauren, Leah, and Cameryn, all of Glen Saint Mary, FL; and one great-great-granddaughter, Ivy of Lake City, FL.
Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton, WV with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Upland Cemetery at Hix. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
