Kirk Ray Kirkland Sr., age 63, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023. He was born in Jacksonville on April 13, 1960, to Glenda Faye (Rhoden) and Bobby Ray Kirkland, and had lived in Baker County for most of his life. Kirk was a caring father and brother who enjoyed aviation, R/C Airplanes, fishing, and watching NASCAR. He had a gift for striking up a conversation with anyone, anywhere.
Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Kirkland. Survivors include his mother, Glenda Faye Wright, and bonus father, Bruce Wright of St. Augustine; sons, Kirk “KJ” Kirkland Jr. of St. Augustine and Casey Kirkland of Mountain Home, Idaho; brother, Robbie Kirkland (Angela) of Macclenny; sisters, Tracy Wright of St. Augustine and Barbara Butler of Dickson, Tennessee; aunt, Joan Long (Danny) and Wilma Rowe, both of Macclenny; nieces and nephews, Robert, Blake, Hope, Brittany, Hannah, Lil Man, Kaylee, Josh, Kamie, and Kayla.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2023, in Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Kyle Lloyd officiating.
