Mr. Kenneth James Turk, age 83, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018.
Kenneth was a Freemason and was active in the Shriners during his midlife. He was a Master Tile Setter most of his life but was also accomplished in many trades, including building, real estate, painting, and beekeeping, which was his favorite. He loved horses in his younger years and enjoyed boating and fishing.
He never met a stranger and was known for always helping others. He loved his faithful companion, a tiny Chihuahua affectionately known as Tink, and above all, he loved his family.
Kenneth was predeceased by parents, Homer and Ruby Turk; brothers, Herman Turk, Gene Turk, and Larry Turk; sister, Wanda King; grandson, Zac Davis; stepson, Johnnie Carter; and step-grandson, Jonathan Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Turk; son, Kenu Turk (Denise); daughters, Dorretta Haspel (Richard), Theajo Davis, and Andrala Turk; stepson, Jeremy Carter; 6 grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren; along with numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018, in Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Timmy Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
