Joseph "Joe" Smith Obituary

It is with a broken heart and spirit that we announce Joseph Warren “Joe” Smith, age 66, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023.
He was raised in Sylacauga, Alabama, but had lived in Florida for the past 35 years. This is where he met and married his wife, Victoria, who shared his dreams, his pains, and his love for family. Joe had a passion for helping others, especially young people who needed a little guidance, someone to listen to them, or just someone they knew they could count on. Joe was proud to be an Army Veteran. He loved motorcycles, jeeps, and being an umpire.
If you ever met Joe, you met a friend, and you were blessed to share his life. He was overwhelmed with joy and love to find out he was going to be a grandfather again, as he posted, “Team Girl.” His daughter, Brooke, is the love of his life, as everyone knows. She is missing their trips to Dunkin, his aggravating ways, his stories that lasted forever, and going to the gym with him. She will mostly miss him not being there for the birth of her first child, but he will be the most loving, caring, and protective angel looking over her.
Joe was proud to watch his grandson, Colton, grow up to be a good father and husband. His lunches with his grandson, Justin, meant a lot to him, as well as their time playing PlayStation 5. His phone calls and recent texting with his grandson, Liam, will surely be missed.
His daughter, Christi, knew he was the man she could count on for anything, and this also gave him great joy.
He loved his sisters, Nona and Yvette, and their phone conversations.
Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Victoria; daughters, Brooke Landeverde (Eric) and Christi Bonnachi (Tom); grandsons, Colt Perryman (Briar), Justin Perryman, and Liam Blanchard; and great-grandson, Cason Perryman. He is also survived by Nona Smith, Yvette Smith, Jessica Blanchard, and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Joseph “Butch” Smith to the Boys Club of Sylacauga Inc., 412 Pine Street, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150.
