Joseph Allen England, age 68, of Clay Hill, Florida, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Clay after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 9, 1953, in Florence, Alabama, to Willie Benton and Hettie “Faye” (Strickland) England, and had lived in Clay Hill his entire life. Joe was a goodhearted man who endeavored to lead a simple life. He enjoyed fishing, helping others in need, and sitting in his outdoor sanctuary. Joe was a loving brother, friend, and veteran that served this nation faithfully with the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jimmy, Willie, and Henry England; and sister, Deloris England. Survivors include his sister, Elizabeth England of Clay Hill; his feline companion, Sabrina; along with several friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2022, in Long Branch Cemetery with Reverend Ronald Kimbrell officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services at Long Branch Cemetery.
