John H. Corns, age 50, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville on Thursday, March 4, 2021, from complications of a long-term illness. He was born on June 12, 1970, in Tucson, Arizona, to Thomas Charles and Patricia (Dugan) Corns.
John was a 1988 graduate of Baker County High School, where he enjoyed wrestling and the drama club. He aspired and dreamed of being a comedian. John was an armorer and attended Seal Training in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Macclenny Moose Lodge and formerly employed as an IT technician with AT&T.
John was preceded in death by his father, Thomas C. Corns; and grandparents, Viola and Matthew Dugan, Jr.
He is survived by his loving mother, Patricia Paulson; brother, Tommy Corns (Kathy Perdue); sister, Cathy Tisdale (Kris); and nieces, Kayla, Haley, Caroline, and Morgan.
John’s family will be having a Celebration of his life later this summer.
