Joanne Wallstedt

Mrs. Joanne Wallstedt, age 75, of Macclenny, Florida left for her eternal home on Friday, September 11, 2020. Joanne was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Hoyle A. and Pauline L. (Ross) Shields and has been a dear Baker County resident for some 48 years. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, caring for her family, and worshiping her Lord and Savior as a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Macclenny. Joanne was a vibrant, cheerful person, a joyful choir member, and a humanitarian with a servant's heart. Her smile and inner light will be missed for a short while until that wondrous reunion with friends and family.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Richard J. Wallstedt of Macclenny; sons, Donald Wallstedt (Danny) of Ft. Lauderdale and Brian Wallstedt (Michelle) of Macclenny; brother, Robert B. Shields of Wilmington, North Carolina; 3 grandchildren, Jacob Wallstedt, Jesslyn Wallstedt, and Cody Jello; along with numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Donnie Williams officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Friday evening, September 18, 2020, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
