The world became a little dimmer on Friday, September 25, 2020.
Ms. Jennifer Lynn Jarrett, age 33, a lifelong resident of Clemmons, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly in a tragic automobile accident in Middleburg, Florida. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on July 28, 1987, to Kevin Ray and Leisa Kay (Taylor) Jarrett. She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church in Clemmons and was a 2005 graduate of West Forsyth High School. Jennifer then went on to receive her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees from Appalachian State University in Research Psychology. She had been living in Starke, Florida since 2015 where she was pursuing her Doctorate in Sociology-Criminology at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Jennifer was a beautiful, special soul. She was a brilliant young woman with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Jennifer had this amazing gift of being able to connect with anyone she met. If you were ever blessed to be around her, you were guaranteed to have fun. She always left you with a smile on your face and in your heart.
Jennifer leaves her imprint on the hearts of her parents, Kevin and Leisa Jarrett of Clemmons, North Carolina; siblings, Rachel Whipple (Stephen) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Andrew Jarrett (Kali) of Tobaccoville, North Carolina; maternal grandmother, Kay Taylor; and aunts, Vickie Gwilt (John) and Sandra Bailey. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Poo” to Addy Whipple, Legend Whipple, Khloe Jarrett, and Carter Jarrett. She also leaves behind her cousins, John Gwilt, Todd Gwilt, Logan Bailey, and Megan Bailey; along with numerous other family members, friends, and colleagues who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service will be at Center Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, October 10th at 12:00 noon. COVID guidelines will be observed; please wear a mask. If you have any special memories that you would like to share, you will be given an opportunity to speak, or you can write out a story.
