Mr. Howard H. Flynt Jr., age 88, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 9, 1933, in Titusville, Florida, to Howard H. and Edith (Yanosh) Flynt. Originally from Daytona Beach, Howard lived in St. Augustine for 12 years before moving to Macclenny two years ago. He worked as a roofer for over 40 years. Howard was a Gator fan, and he loved his Miami Dolphins. He loved to sit and tell stories about when he and his brothers would travel around the country.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Evelyn; and brothers, Mac, Fryson, and Lewis; first wife, Inez Flynt; wife, Barbara Flynt; and stepson, Jimmy McCallum.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela Flynt (David Pembelton) of Macclenny; stepsons, Ralph Waldrop (Tina) of St. Augustine and Robert Waldrop (Ivey) of St. Augustine; grandchildren, Natalie Flynt, Kayla Flynt, Kailynn Pembelton, Bradley (Danielle), and Steven (Sheena); great-grandchildren, Jayden, Memphis, Maddox, Ronan, Jasper, and Beatrice; along with other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Howard’s Life will be held at a later date.
