Hope C. Dutton

Hope C. Dutton, age 87, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. She was the daughter of the late William P. and Blanche V. (Redmond) Combs and had been a lifelong resident of Callaway, Maryland, until a recent move to Jacksonville, Florida, four years ago. Hope was a kind, generous, and outgoing soul, a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother. She and her husband had a mutual enjoyment of birdwatching, traveling, and caring for their family. Hope was deeply committed to her Catholic faith and lovingly devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and her beloved Son, Jesus, and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Florida. Hope was famous for her pound cakes and they were a much cherished treat. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 66 years, Vincent H. Dutton Jr.; children, Jane M. Davis (Tim) of South Carolina, Margaret D. Riojas (Leonard) of Florida, Joseph P. Dutton (Charlotte) of Maryland and Elaine H. Rose of Virginia; grandchildren, Kimberly Mears (Mark), Olivia Dutton, Laura Dutton, Theresa Riojas, Andrew Riojas, and great-grandchild, AnnieJane Mears.
A private Funeral Mass for the family will be held at her church in Florida with interment in Maryland at a later date.
