Harrell Franklin Rowland, age 73, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Orange Park Medical Center. He was born in Jacksonville on January 30, 1949, to Frank and Everleaner (Oxley) Rowland. Harrell was a caring father, grandfather, and brother who enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, raising his roosters, gardening, and making friends everywhere he went. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Ivy Steel & Wire after 30 years.
Harrell was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bruce A. Rowland; daughter, Christina Rowland; and his devoted wife of 55 years, Wanda Rowland. He is survived by his sons, Danny H. Rowland (Terrie) and Tommy Rowland; daughter, Cindy Lamb (Robert); brother, Johnnie D. Rowland (Jane); sister, Rita D. Rowland (Terry); grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kimberly, David, Amy, Sarah, Renee, Tommy, Daisey, and Jackson; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Jasper, Auroia, Barrett, Emily, and Bert Bud; along with other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral & Cremation with Reverend Glen Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
