Fannie "Louise" Walker, age 90, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born on July 2, 1929, in Olustee, Florida, to Dee Edward and Ida Mae (Hilliard) Smith.
Mrs. Walker was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Louise moved to Macclenny from Maxville in 2001. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker who loved fishing and spending time with her family.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 26 years, Woodrow Thomas Bass; brothers, James L. Smith, Louis Smith, Leeman Smith, and Marion Smith; and granddaughter, Tarina Thompson. She is survived by her son, Raymond Bass of Maxville; daughter, Wanda B. Davidson (Gery) of Macclenny; brother, William L. Smith of Lulu; grandchildren, Charlee Thompson (Abagail) and Dee Dee Adams (Darryl); great-grandchildren, Tarina Thompson, Eddie Thompson, Amber Thompson, Draco Thompson, Natalie Roser, Brianna Roser, and Melba Adams; great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Starling; along with numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 10, 2020, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Freddie Griffis officiating. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery in Raiford, Florida, will follow.
