Eldridge "Eddie" Mann Wheeler

Eldridge "Eddie" Mann Wheeler, age 56, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. A native of Baker County, Eddie was born in Macclenny on January 22, 1967, to Donna Lee (Pearce) and Eldrige W. Wheeler. He was not scared of hard work and was a Pipefitter in the fire protection. Eddie loved the simple joys of life. His favorite was to be with his grandchildren and great-grandson, spoiling them with popsicles. Eddie loved to hunt and be in his tree stand, if not fishing and telling jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren, Emily Fernandez and Logan Johnson. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Regina (Davis) Wheeler; children, Johnathan Johnson (Kimberly), Joannie Johnson, and Carrie Thornton (Bruce); grandchildren, Hannah Johnson (Damien), Jordan Johnson (Madison), Brianna Thornton, Makayla Johnson, Trenton Mallory, Selena Johnson, Blake Mallory, Dylan Thornton, and Kyle Thornton; great-grandson, Atlas Pryde; sisters, Janis Skoric (Ivan) of Glen St. Mary, Judy Ullo of Jacksonville, Wanda Burk (Ron) of Glen St. Mary, and Donna Thornton (Sam) of Raiford; brothers, John Wheeler (Felicia) of Gainesville and Aaron Ray Wheeler (Diane) of Macclenny; along with many other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Dr. Albert Starling officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
