Mr. Eldon Lemoine Landers, age 87, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Landers was born in Ridgeville, Indiana, to Ralph and Loretta Marie (Judy) Landers and had lived in Baker County for 46 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Eldon faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. Coach Landers also dedicated many years of his life, molding the lives of young Baker County ball players coaching Little League Baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Forest Landers; sister, Evelyn Wine; and beloved wife of 30 years, Mary Lou Landers.
Survivors include his sons, Michael E. Landers (Niccola) of Waveland, Mississippi, and Tim A. Landers (Rose) of Macclenny; daughters, Debbie Dixon of Auburndale, and Rhonda Funk (Michael) of Macclenny; grandchildren, Alex Dixon (Nicolette), Candi Dixon, Nick Howe (Bethany), Matt Funk (Brandi), Colt Landers (Lynn), Haley Littlejohn (Caleb), Brandon Landers, Faith Landers, and Michael Landers; great-grandchildren, Allie, Adalyn, Emery, Tinsley, Sophie, Maddox, Berklie, Kota and one on the way.
Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021, in Oak Grove Cemetery.
