Mr. Edward “Ed” Randall Walls, age 75, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville. He was born in West Point, Georgia, on December 29, 1945, to Hubert C. And Gladys (Carroll) Walls. Ed moved from Jacksonville to Baker County 28 years ago and was of the Holiness faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who loved fishing and watching sunrises at the beach. He enjoyed listening to country music and Paul Harvey on the radio as well as watching the Grand Ole Opry and a good Bonnie and Clyde movie on TV in his downtime. Ed worked with law enforcement in Alabama in the '70s and was a good handyman through his years. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Doyle Hardenbrook; daughter, Gail Campbell; and sister, Janice Walls. Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Gwendolyn Walls of Glen St. Mary; daughters, Derenda Dyal of Baxley, Georgia, Barbara Griffis (Gary) of Olustee, Patricia Stephens of Glen St. Mary, and Robyn Smith of Macon, Georgia; brother, Jimmy Walls (Lisa) of Lanett, Alabama; grandchildren, Breanna, Ticha, Brandon, Garrett, Ashlynn, Andrew, Brad, Chance, Dillon, Ethan, Kaleb, Kylie, Harley, and John; 16 great-grandchildren; special niece, Tina Walls; along with numerous other family members and friends.
Private family services will be held.
