Mr. Earl B. Lang, age 87, of Clay Hill, Florida, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at the Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park. He was born on October 22, 1933, in Highland, Florida to Richard and Grace (Padgett) Lang. Mr. Lang was a retired truck driver and he loved it. He was also a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed Georgia Bulldog football, was an avid cattle farmer and gardener, and loved sitting in his rocking chair singing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 32 years, Ruth Lang; and 10 of his brothers.
He is survived by his sons, Troy Lang of Clay Hill, Fred Lang of Indiana, and Bill Wiggins (Diana) of Clay Hill; daughter, Cheryl Korey (Joe) of Middleburg; brothers, Tommy Lang and Jim Bud Lang; sister, Nellie Lang-Brooker; grandchildren, Brandon and Cole Korey, Will and Ryan Wiggins, Lance Lang, and Kobe and Kya Lang; great-grandson, Brantley Korey; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2021, in Long Branch Cemetery in Maxville with Reverend Lester Austin officiating.
