Mr. Donald L. DeBoyd, age 55, of Middleburg, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, after an extended illness at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park. He was born on May 24, 1966, in Jacksonville to Sharon Ann (Pecor) and Jimmy DeBoyd.
Donald worked as a long-distance truck driver for over 30 years. He loved his trucks, his boat, hunting, fishing, and cookouts with his friends and family. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy DeBoyd; mother, Sharon Ann Gatlin; and brothers, David DeBoyd and Daniel Ray DeBoyd.
He leaves behind many who have been touched by his life including his daughter, Keri Rosann Deboyd of Middleburg; grandsons, Adam L. Poole and Brandon L. Poole of Middleburg; brothers, Douglas “Pete” Wood (Louise) of Clay Hill and James Wood (Melody) of Lake Butler; sisters, Debbie McDaniel (Bobby) of Middleburg, Penny Starling (Lonnie) of Keystone Heights, and Loni Crist (Mike) of Middleburg; along with a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel. Interment in Long Branch Cemetery in Maxville will follow.
