David Vernon Stanfield, age 62, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 13, 1957, in Washington, D.C. to Max Vernon and Virginia Leila (Kerns) Stanfield. He moved to Jacksonville when he was 17 years old and worked for Publix Supermarket for many years.
David was a devoted father and grandfather. He was known for his witty personality, his humorous fun-loving attitude, knowledge of American History, and his devotion to the Washington Redskins. David was loved by many people and never met a stranger.
David was preceded into death by his wife of 30 years, Beth Stanfield; his parents, Max and Virginia; and his granddaughter, Mykayla Fisher. He is survived by his four children, David Matthew Stanfield, Samantha Kirby, Jennifer Fisher, and Bailey Stanfield; four grandsons, Nathan, Jackson, Atlas, and Declan; three siblings, Allen Stanfield, Diane Camden, and Alice Mullis; along with numerous other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Milton Dykes officiating.
