Connie Shumate Terrell

Mrs. Connie Shumate Terrell, age 57, of Sanderson, Florida went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Connie was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 31, 1963, to Pearly (Davis) and Coy M. Shumate, Sr. She lived in Sanderson all her life and graduated from Baker County High School in 1981. Connie was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother who adored her grandbabies. They were her life. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, exploring the backroads with her husband on their motorcycle, and taking an annual yard sale trip with her sisters.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 20 years, Leland “Erbie” Earl Terrell; and her sister, Sharon Perdue.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Ashley Norman (Travis) of Sanderson; brothers, Wayne Alford (Penny) of Sanderson, Mervin Shumate (Nancy) of Tennessee, and Stephen Shumate (Michelle) of Sanderson; sisters, Linda Giddens (Joey) of Glen St. Mary, Denise Walker (Keith) of Glen St. Mary, and Kimberly Crews (Allen) of Sanderson; grandchildren, Nadleigh, Kayla, and Trevor; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Dinkins Church with Pastor Tim Alford and Reverend Allen Crews officiating. Interment in Cedar Creek Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
