Christopher Scott Hertzog, age 32, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. He was born on November 12, 1988, in Jacksonville, Florida to Jeffrey and Helen (Browning) Hertzog.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Jane E. Hertzog, and maternal grandparents John & Norma Jean Browning. His uncles John Hertzog, Jr. and Cecil Browning; aunts Tina Cash, Penny Nakoa, Barbara Browning, and cousin Adam Murphy.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Helen Hertzog; sister, Kristine Reitmire (Joshua); sons, Mason Scott Hertzog and Brayden Knight; Mason’s siblings, Cameron Ricks, Logan Adams, and Olivyah Adams; niece, Isabella Reitmire; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Christopher loved his family and the Georgia Bulldogs. Christopher had a black belt in martial arts, enjoyed going fishing, monster trucks, and listening to rock and country. His ultimate favorite songs are: Free Bird and A Country Boy Can Survive.
Throughout Christopher’s career, he was a construction worker, house framer, roofer, mechanic, and great handyman.
