Mrs. Betty Jean Crews, age 71, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away on Tuesday evening, January 19, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born in Ashville, North Carolina, the daughter of Creed S. and Zanie Mae (Church) Willis, and had lived in Baker County for the past 40 years. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed fishing, playing card games, and bingo. Her greatest devotion though was taking care of her family and to the service of her Savior as a long-time member of Macedonia Independent Methodist Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Robert and Homer Willis; and her sister, Catherine Moore.
Survivors include her cherished husband of 52 years, Pastor Bobby G. Crews of Glen St. Mary; son, Richard Crews of Glen St. Mary; daughter, Angela Cribbs (Kevin) of St. George, Georgia; sisters, Ruth Whitted and Lillie Mae Parker (Steve), both of Ashville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Alyssa, Aleara, Ashley, Braden, Callie, and Kyler; one great-grandchild, Dakota; Angela’s mother-in-law, Linda Cribbs; along with other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Reverend Allen Crews officiating.
