Mrs. Bernice Nadine Raulerson, age 89, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Community Hospice St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born on March 3, 1933, in Sanderson to Lewis and Tressie (Davis) Jones and had lived in Baker County all her life. Mrs. Raulerson was a kind mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mrs. Bernice was a longtime member of Glen Baptist Church and had taught Sunday School there for over 50 years. She was also a longtime employee of Northeast Florida State Hospital and retired after 30 years of service.
Mrs. Raulerson was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Marcus Raulerson; and devoted husband of 47 years, James Raulerson. Survivors include her son, James “Ron” Raulerson; daughter, Donna Pickering (Timothy); brother, Ray A. Jones; sister, Margaret Sands, all of Macclenny; grandchildren, Brad, George, James, and Theo; 8 great-grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.
Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2022, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel. Graveside Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery with Dr. Timothy Pickering officiating.
