Bennett "Bud" Booth Jr. Obituary

Mr. Bennett “Bud” Wendell Booth Jr., age 72, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020, at Orange Park Medical Center. He was born in Aurora, Illinois, on June 28, 1947, to Bennett Wendell and Pollyanna (Barnes) Booth. Bud was a Vietnam War Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy and worked for the United States Postal Service for 22 years before he retired. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Bud loved media of all kinds and gathered a vast collection of movies, CDs, and sheet music. He created his own music mixes and compilations and enjoyed any opportunity to DJ.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cyndi Booth; and grandson, Jordan. He is survived by his sons, Michael A. Booth of San Diego, CA and Daniel C. Booth of Macclenny, FL; daughter, M. Nicole Hedge (Brian) of Macclenny, FL; brothers, Michael “Mike” Booth of Ocala, FL, James “Jay” Booth of Medford, OR, and Barry Booth of Bluffton, SC; sisters, Sheri Barnes of San Jose, CA, and Lynn Arroyo of Bluffton, SC; grandchildren, Dominick, Alexa, Logan, Gabriel, Jada, Marcus, Aiden; along with other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5100 Firestone Road, Jacksonville, FL 32210. A Committal Service will follow at 2:00 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
