Benjamin David Higginbotham, age 87, of Maxville, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital in Macclenny. He was born in Macclenny, Florida to Doss and Mae (Tanner) Higginbotham.
Mr. Higginbotham retired from CSX Railroad in 1996. He was a great Christian man that loved the Lord and his family. He loved to fish and taught his kids and grandkids.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Dorothy (Harris) Higginbotham; daughters, Marian Tinsley (Dale), Connie Brown (Richard), and Donna Wilkinson; sister, Shirley Johnson; grandchildren, Jeff Tinsley (Cindy), Wendy Higdon (JoJo), Christy Carter, and Josh Carter (Candice); great-grandchildren, Faith and Ethan Tinsley, Kaitlyn, Dustyn, and Holdyn Higdon, Ashlyne, Alvers, Blake, and Cali Carter; along with many other family members and friends.
A Graveside Service was held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 27, 2020, at Long Branch Cemetery with Pastor Richard Fish officiating.
