Obituary

Mrs. Wilma Jean Belangia, age 84, of Middleburg, Florida, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at the Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park after an extended illness. She was born on August 10, 1935, in McComb, Mississippi to Clyde Ellis and Ina (Blackmon) Lewis. Mrs. Belangia lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia for 32 years before she and her family moved to Middleburg 22 years ago. She was a devout Christian wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Mrs. Belangia retired from the U.S. Government after working 30 years. She was a dedicated member and the organist of Orange Park Church of the Nazarene. Wilma has played the piano/organ for over 50 years between her current church and Tidewater Central Church of the Nazarene in Virginia Beach. She deeply loved her family and her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Tommy Lewis. Wilma is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Kenneth Belangia of Middleburg; sons, Rick Belangia (Regina) of Middleburg and Michael Belangia (Valerie) of Syracuse, New York; sister, Janice Townsend (Bobby) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister-in-law, Pat Lewis of Woodbridge, Virginia; grandchildren, Cary Belangia, Eric Belangia, Kristen Belangia, and Marissa Belangia; great-grandchildren, Cayleigh, Linnea, and Isabella; along with other family members and friends.
