Obituary

William Hank Padgett, age 52, of Maxville, Florida, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center after an extended illness. He was born in Jacksonville on April 3, 1973, and was the son of Kathy D. (Barber) Mobley and William F. Padgett. He lived in Maxville most of his life. William was a caring father, grandfather, loving son, brother, and uncle. He believed in hard work and lived by what he said. Being a Logger by trade, he loved being in the woods cutting timber, hunting, and fishing. The rest of his time was given to his family. William was preceded in death by his father, William F. Padgett, and his two brothers, Stanley and Steve Padgett. Survivors include his sons, William "Bubba" Padgett of Clay Hill and Logan Padgett of Orange Park; daughters, Stacey Padgett of Baldwin and Kendall Padgett of Macclenny; mother, Kathy Mobley and stepfather, Cherill Mobley of Macclenny; sister, Jackie Willmott of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Rhett, Reagan, Waylon, Braylen, Braxton, and Bailey; nieces, Taylor and London; and nephew, Chase. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bobby Padgett officiating. Interment will follow in Nolan Ridge Cemetery in Maxville. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
