William L. Farkas Sr., age 88, of Macclenny, Florida, died on Sunday, February 19, 2023, with both family and his cat by his side. Mr. Farkas, a U.S. Army veteran, held many positions in his life. In his later years, he continued to be quite active, working with the Council on Aging, among other endeavors. However, throughout his life, he maintained his passion for bowling and he still participated competitively until quite recently. Mr. Farkas is survived by his daughters, Amelia and Rebecca, as well as his son, Chris. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at United Christian Church with Pastor Mitch Rhoden officiating. In lieu of flowers, his family would like his memory to be honored by having people anonymously do something nice for another person.
