Wanda Bass Davidson, age 68, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City. She was born on July 27, 1953, in Live Oak to Woodrow Thomas and Fannie Louise (Smith) Bass. She was of the Christian faith. Wanda was an excellent student and worked many jobs in her youth. As an adult, her long time career was in nursing until she retired to care for her mother. Wanda was extremely gregarious. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed dancing, vacationing at the beach, driving down long, vacant dirt roads, and in her words, "putting the pedal to the metal." Wanda's friendship, work ethic, kindness, and love was appreciated by all who knew her. She will remain forever in our hearts. Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Bass; her mother, Louise Smith; and her daughter, Tarina Thompson. She is survived by her husband, Gery Davidson; brother, Raymond Bass; children, Homer "Charlee" Thompson, and Glenda "DD" Adams (Darryl); stepdaughter, Vanessa Davidson; grandchildren, Tarina Thompson, Edward Thompson, Amber Thompson, Draco Thompson, and Melba Adams; Abagail Roser, Natalie Roser, and Brianna Roser, who she loved as family; step-grandchildren, Aaliyah Puckett, Jaylen Miles, Da'quan Smith; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Starling; step-great-grandchildren, Cylis Puckett, Violet Puckett, and Alahni Miles. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2020, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Reverend Richard Fish officiating. Interment will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in O'Brien, Florida. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
