Vicki Jean Canaday Cabler, age 67, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away knowing she was loved on Sunday, August 31, 2025. She was born in Macclenny on January 10, 1958, to Lois Jean (Burnsed) and Lonnie Canaday, Jr. Vicki graduated from Baker County High School and would go on to work various jobs before dedicating many years and retiring from Rex Packaging in the Art Department. Outside of work, Vicki was a dedicated wife, loving sister, and dear friend. Vicki was shy and teased by her family for her not so great cooking, except for her lasagna. It was amazing! She was talented at needlepoint, crocheting, caring for plants, and could clean something like nobody's business. Vicki had no children of her own, but kept snacks for all who visited her and treated them as her own. She loved the beach, searching for shark's teeth, and having parties and oyster roasts at her house. Vicki will be remembered as an honest, hard-working, gentle hearted woman with a generous nature, who gave the best warm hugs that lingered. Vicki is preceded in death by her doting husband of 32 years, Ronald W. Cabler Sr.; parents; brother, Timothy Canaday; and sister, Sandra Crawford. She leaves behind to cherish her memory two brothers, Philip (Susan) Canaday and Jody (Rachel) Canaday; sister, Lisa Allbright (Dwight); uncle, Robert Burnsed (Sue); brother-in-law, Avery Crawford; sister-in-law, Sandra Kay Canaday; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Moniac Baptist Church with Reverend Gene Burnsed officiating. Interment will follow in Canaday Cemetery.
