Urban "Urby" Chester Cady, age 61, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital with his little dog, Rowdy, and family by his side after his battle with cancer. Urby was born on May 23, 1960, in New Roads, Louisiana, and was raised and resided in Jacksonville for most of his life. In the early 2000s, he relocated to Macclenny, Florida. His main trade of work was a drywall finisher, but he was also a welder. Urby enjoyed cooking out, camping, and spending time with family, friends, and his little buddy, Rowdy. He was a loving and caring son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his father, George Ralph Cady; son, Jason Crabtree; and granddaughter, Jayce Cady. Survivors include his wife, Malisa Cady of Keystone and although separated, they remained close and caring friends; mother, Betty Ann Devine of Macclenny; son, Scotty Cady (Alea) of Middleburg; brothers, Johnny Ray Jewell of Pass Christian, Mississippi, Victor Cady (Annette) of Melrose, and Guy Kirkland of Callahan; sisters, Nicky Harvey, Norma Jean Robinson (Daryl), Tammy A. Davis (Donnie), and Alisa Campos (Otto), all of Macclenny; grandchildren, Jaiden Cady, Jocelyn Cady, and Noah Ertley, all of Middleburg. In keeping true to Urby's wishes, he will be cremated and a Memorial Gathering will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 7861 CR 125 South, Macclenny, Florida.
