Umash Sam Samaroo, age 46, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022, after an extended illness at his home. He was born on February 9, 1976, in Berbice, Guyana, to Horrill and Eva (Sampat) Samaroo. Umash was a caring and stubborn father, son, brother, and friend. He moved to Jacksonville with his family in 2001 from New York. He enjoyed fishing, going on road trips, watching NASCAR, and was a Dale Jr. fan. Umash was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Eva Sampat Samaroo of New York; children, Kimberley Samaroo of Bronx, New York, Tiffany Samaroo of Macclenny, and Jonathan Samaroo of Macclenny; sisters, Bhoj "Marie" Samaroo, Dhanrajie "Babso" Singh, and Tara "Minty" Samaroo; along with numerous extended family members and friends.
