Travis "Squirrel" Earl Johnston, age 36, of St. George, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. He was born on July 21, 1988, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Lois Yvonne (Crews) and Timothy Earl Johnston. He had lived in the Georgia Bend area all his life. Squirrell was a hardworking father, son, grandson, and brother who enjoyed being in the woods hunting or down on the bank fishing. His interests included Motocross Racing (#24), collecting antique treasures of all kinds, and finding driftwood to make homemade projects with. His family was his number one priority. Travis was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Y. Johnston; paternal grandfather, Robert Mitchell Johnston; and maternal grandfather, Wilton Crews. Survivors include his daughter, Arrianna Grace Elaine Johnston of Macclenny; father, Timothy E. Johnston (Carolyn) of St. George, Georgia; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Elaine Jordan of Macclenny; maternal grandmother, Brenda Crews of St. George, Georgia; brother, Joseph W. Crews of St. George, Georgia; sister, Brianna Wilson of St. George, Georgia; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Clayton McCormick officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Gathering with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
