Tonya Kicklighter Padilla, age 55, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born in Jacksonville on July 7, 1970. She was one of three children of Joann (Kimbrell) and Charles Raymond Kicklighter. 
Tonya was a wonderful mother, Nana, and sister who enjoyed hanging out with her grandchildren more than anything. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kelly Stephens, and her beloved husband of 5 years, Henry Padilla. Survivors include her son, Derrick Stephens (Kyler) of Collegedale, Tennessee; daughter, Tiffany Doughty (Shawn) of Jacksonville; brother, Charles Kicklighter Jr. of Jacksonville; sister, Cindy Simpson (Drew) of Cleveland, Tennessee; niece, Kayla Bryant; nephews, Trey Simpson and Jacob Simpson; and grandchildren, Shawn, Gannon, Bristol, Braxton, and Sadie. 
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Sanderson Christian Revival Center, 14302 Sapp Road, Glen St. Mary, Florida 32040, with Pastor Ody Witt officiating.
