It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Timothy Spencer Hance on Saturday, February 28, 2026. He was born on August 19, 1985, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Spencer Melvin Hance and Mandy Sweat. Timothy dedicated his career to working in underground utilities, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he found his greatest joy in spending time with his children, visiting the springs, and simply being surrounded by family and friends. He will be remembered most for his kindness and the big heart he had for everyone he met. He leaves behind his beloved son, Timothy Hayden Spencer Hance; daughter, Timberlee Kayden Marie Hance; and grandson, Daxtyn Kelso Hance, who will carry his memory forward. He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Hance (Gail); sister, Tina Hance; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly. Timothy was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Genesis Rainey Hance; father, Melvin Spencer Hance; mother, Mandy Sweat; brother, Brian Hance; and sister, Charlene Melissa Boughman. Though his passing was sudden, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
