Thomas “TR” Ryan Smith, age 82, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. He was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, on November 17, 1943, to Marguerite (O’Flinn) and John Thomas Smith.
Mr. Smith was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had retired from Civil Service. Tommy had a passion for gun collecting and attending gun shows. He found joy in gardening, spending time with his family, and showing off his grilling skills. Tommy’s favorite hobby was tinkering with anything mechanical. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John David; brother, Johnny Smith; and sister, Marjorie Smith. Tommy is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Doris Lee Smith of Macclenny; son, Robert Smith of Macclenny; daughters, Sherry Norris (Leroy) of Lake Butler and Lisa Hulett (Jesse) of Glen St. Mary; grandchildren, Amber, Jennifer, Josh, Summer, Jessica, and Kendall; and great-grandchildren, Rylee and River.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel.
