Mrs. Thelma Gail Muse of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center. She was born on March 24, 1962, in Jacksonville, Florida. Following her 10+ years at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital, Thelma Gail went on to dedicate 23 years to the Human Resources Department at the Macclenny Walmart Distribution Center. Thelma Gail is a lifelong resident of Baker County and graduated class of 1980 at Baker County High School. She enjoyed spending time traveling to the mountains and camping at Disney with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Thelma Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Faye (Mann) and Johnnie E. Nettles; sister, Helen Nettles; brother, Glenn Nettles; and nephew, Doc Theophile. Thelma Gail is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert "Keith" Muse; children, Trey Smith (Bailey) of Lumpkin, Georgia, Eddie Smith (Lacy) of Glen St. Mary, Magan Mona (Kenan) of Glen St. Mary, Kaitlen and Bo Muse of Glen St. Mary; the best Nana to Eva Grace, Amelia, Lily, Olivia, Ellie, Kellan, and Madi; her brother, Jimmy Nettles of Jacksonville; along with countless loved ones, friends, and church family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church with Pastor Oral Lyons and Pastor Justin Griffis officiating. Interment to follow at Manntown Cemetery in Glen St. Mary. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
