Teresa Travis Kirkpatrick, age 55, of Shelbyville, Indiana, was embraced in the arms of Jesus and reunited with her mother on Thursday, June 25, 2020. She was born in Orlando, Florida on November 12, 1964, and was the oldest of eight children. Teresa had the soul of a gypsy with a heart of gold. She loved everybody and accepted everyone. Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was dearly loved and will be missed by so many. Teresa was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Virginia Padgett Murphy. She is survived by her husband, William S. Kirkpatrick of Shelbyville, IN; father, Travis C. Murphy of Live Oak, FL; siblings, Wendy Berndgen (Zack) of Havana, FL, Travis Todd Murphy of Grant, AL, Michell Watson (Danny) of Live Oak, FL, Jessie Chad Murphy (Melissa) of Santa Clarita, CA, Tammy Murphy Robbins (Bobby) of Guntown, MS, Shannon Murphy Curry (James) of Macclenny, FL, and Shawn Murphy of Live Oak, FL; devoted daughter, Amber Dawn Timura and her husband, Jessie Timura of Shelbyville, IN; cherished grandchildren, Jeremy, Alexander, Allison, and Jameson; father-in-law, Leon Kirkpatrick; mother-in-law, Carole Hood; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends. Teresa's wish was to be cremated and brought back home to Florida so she could be laid to rest with her mother in Live Oak. Private family services will be held at a later date.
