Tammy Lynn Godwin, age 54, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Baptist Medical Center. She was the daughter of Bill and Linda Whitehead of Maxville, Florida, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Tammy had a big heart and a kind soul. She enjoyed cooking for her family and feeding others. She loved having conversations with her friends and her church family at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Tammy will be dearly missed. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert S. Godwin; sons, Bruce Fridley of Jacksonville and Kyle Guthrie (Rebecca) of Georgia; daughter, Rachel M. Rhoden of Jacksonville; stepsons, Zack Godwin, Jamie Godwin, and Robert Hobbs; stepdaughter, Tabitha Godwin; father, Bill Whitehead, and mother, Linda Whitehead of Maxville; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; along with many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, August 17, 2020, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gene Dillon officiating. Interment in Manning Cemetery will follow. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
