Selena Marie Francis, age 23, of Sanderson, Florida, was called Home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. She was born in Orange Park on March 16, 2001, to Alicia Ann (Wilkerson) and Christopher M. Francis and was a lifelong resident of Baker County. Selena was a beautiful, innocent soul. Simple things brought her joy. She loved her coloring books, singing, and playing with her baby dolls.  Selena was always a social butterfly who "never met a stranger." She enjoyed using her tablet, visiting, and praying for her friends online. Selena loved going to school and being around her classmates. Above all that was her love for her family. The sunshine of her spirit would lift their hearts even in the darkest of times. To say that a tremendous hole that has been left in everyone's heart falls short of reality. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Jesse Francis, and her uncle, Jesse Francis Jr. Survivors include her parents, Christopher and Alicia Francis of Sanderson; brothers, Kyle Francis (Lexi Griffis), Zaccaria Francis, Jesse Francis, and Elijah Francis, all of Sanderson, and Waylon Alford (Selena) of Macclenny; sister, Kaytlin Laramore of Macclenny; Nanny and Papa, Eric and Barbara Wilkerson of Glen St. Mary; Nanny, Florence Francis of Glen St. Mary; aunts, Brenda Larry (Cedrick) and Priscilla Dyal (Jason), both of Macclenny; nephews, Sebastian, Bryce, Clayton, and Chandler; nieces, Adalind and Dakota; her best friend, Rachel Dobbs; and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Dr. Albert Starling officiating.
