IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sarah Helen
Gardner
July 18, 1968 – January 18, 2024
Mrs. Sarah Helen Gardner, age 55, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away peacefully at UF Shands Health in Gainesville after a valiant battle with cancer surrounded by her family. She was born in Madison, Florida, on July 18, 1968, to Sarah Lorena (Anderson) and Thomas Neil Pert. She and her family moved to Live Oak from Mayo, and Sarah had called Suwannee County home for 40 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, GiGi, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Sarah dedicated her life to taking care of her family. Her love was fierce and unwavering. She made sure her babies were in church on Sundays to learn about the Lord. She was at EVERY ballgame her boys ever played, starting with Tball all the way through High School. Not only did she cheer for her kids, but she also cheered for all the kids playing. She was her boys' biggest fan! She enjoyed spoiling her grandbabies and being the "Forever Reigning Family Yahtzee Queen." Sarah was preceded in death by her father, Neil Pert; son, Dustin Gardner; father and mother-in-love, Bud and Jackie Gardner; and stepfather, Bill White. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 37 years, Allen "Bruce" Gardner of Live Oak; sons, Brandon Scott Gardner and Dillon Wayne Gardner, both of Live Oak; bonus sons, J.D. Strickland (Jessica) and Jordan Williams; grandchildren, Myleighrae, Arianna, Brayden, Brandon Jr., Landon, Gabriel, and Willow; bonus grandchildren, Madison, Ty, and Skylar Jade; mother, Lorena Barclay of Live Oak; sister, Lazoni Jones (Jimmie) of Mayo; sisters-in-love, Wanda (Jerry), Gloria (Frank), Sharrone (Steve), and Tonya (Frank); nieces and nephews, Wendy, Sarah (Chris), Stephanie (Mike), and Steven; along with a host of great-nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends. A Celebration of Sarah's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Tiger Lake Baptist Church, 11640 County Road 49, Live Oak, Florida 32060, with Pastor Melvin Owen officiating. Please dress casually. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the care of BLACKBURN-CURRY FUNERAL AND CREMATION, 380 N. Lowder Street, Macclenny, FL 32063. (904) 259-2806. Please share your condolences with the Gardner family online at www.blackburncurryfh.com.
